La Culture #16 – The Papyrus edition

by Anna Kopito | 19.03.15

Papyrus, an ancient Egyptian form of paper, was chosen to be this year’s theme for La Culture’s Passover exhibition. Taking place tonight at Mazeh 9, the exhibit will bring together around 60 local artists as well as thirteen young brands and independent paper designers [Palm & Olive, Pudish, Stolen Goods and DailyDoodlegram to mention a few], which all specialize in paper products and product design.

All of the creators will try to explore the concept and character of ‘papyrus’ while addressing questions of symbolism and the Gods. It will surely be interesting to see what kind of art work will be inspired by these unique themes.

As always in La Culture exhibitions, all of the art is affordable and no piece will cost over 500 NIS. Come to the opening tonight, support local artists and designers – and maybe even take a piece home with you!
